Relive The CNN GOP Debate in Four Minutes
Trump responded not by debating issues, but by lashing out at the media and Bush.

CNN and Wolf Blitzer did a good, fair-and-balanced job of staging and refereeing the nine-person fight card.
The debate was dominated by national security, reflecting the reshaping of the 2016 presidential contest by the recent attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, California.
No candidate was the clear victor.
On Trump’s defense, Christie came out in a radio interview with Laura Ingraham to say that, contrary to Bush, he considered the businessman as a serious candidate. “It’s been a total disaster, nobody cares, and frankly I’m the most solid person up here”.
“Trump did well enough to hold his lead”. He further redirected his tirade to his emerging rival, Rubio, linking him to Obama’s policies in the region offering a concise summation of the fall out of the neoconservative promotion of American democracy of the George W. Bush era.
Trump explained Jeb has to do something based on what the polls show.
Burr said he’d be “a lot more worried” if Cruz were actually a member of the Intelligence Committee, which Rubio is. The evangelical leaders voted four times, all of which bore the same result-Cruz winning the majority vote but not the 75 percent “supermajority” vote the group earlier set as criteria for endorsement, the National Review said.
Cruz and Rubio have been sparring from afar over national security for weeks.
Also notable from Cruz’s statement in the debate was that he subtly avoided closing the door to supporting legal status in the future.
The other candidates are in single digits.
Chris Christie something he desperately needs – a second chance. Marco Rubio about the new USA Freedom Act, which Cruz supported and Rubio opposed. Mr. Cruz had a tough time defending his support for curtailing surveillance, while Ohio Governor John Kasich pointed out that the State’s inability to intercept encrypted communication has become a major hindrance in anti-terrorism efforts.
Carly Fiorina – She has two cards to play – the gender card and the CEO card – and she’s quick to slap either or both onto the table.
According to calculations by NPR, Cruz spoke for 15:58 – the most of any candidate.

Until Republicans get that down to three or four, which won’t happen until sometime after the Iowa caucus in February, we’re not going to get an old-fashioned primary debate. The big question going into this last Republican debate of 2015 was how Donald Trump’s competitors would try to take the front-runner down. Voters will also learn who’s the most likable and most relatable – and therefore the most electable in November. He’s always been the focus of most debate-related tweets, and his 35 percent share Tuesday was the highest since he garnered a 37 percent chunk in September.
