Sunday will see services of remembrance take place all over the UK.
He told the Mirror: “If the poppy was simply about World War One and Two victims alone, I’d wear it without a problem”.
“If he did it once, he’ll probably do it again, so we want people to be aware”.
Another historic ceremony was held at the Kingsway Legion at 143 Avenue and 50 Street, where hundreds attended the outdoor ceremony which included a March on the Colours, wreath laying and a moment of silence.
But following Remembrance Day, many are at a loss when it comes to the correct way to dispose of their poppy, or how long they should wear it on their coat.
Huma Qadeer, 39, of Wychwood Avenue, stepped in after the Royal British Legion lost a volunteer for the appeal at the last minute.
Sainsbury’s Horsham Store Manager, Derek Boarer, said: “I’d like to thank our customers for their kind donations and support every year, the Horsham community has been really supportive of the Poppy Appeal”.
What will happen on November 11? .
He said between 2,000 and 3,000 people turned up to the service in the Norton park which was taken by Rev Michael Deakins. “There are only a few left who served in the Korean and Second World Wars, but there are many who served in Bosnia, Croatia, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, and in peace time, too”.
Chris Smithson is leading this year’s appeal in Banbury and it was officially launched on Saturday.
Huma said: “The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association will continue to help and work with the Royal British Legion as one of the principals of Islam is loyalty to one’s country”.
“Each year we remember the personal cost of war. At all military personell events in the town, Banbury comes together”.

Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 and others participating in the parade will assemble at the Martin Leo Troy Armouries on Chippewa St. West in North Bay. “The money raised helps provide financial and medical assistance, advocacy and support services to current and former members of the Australian Defence Force and their families”, Minister Robert said.
