Remi Garde Bans Dressing-Room Arguments in Attempt to Improve Aston Villa Form

If he was to let his captain and one of his best players leave it would be deemed as a sign of accepting the club’s fate, something the fans wouldn’t be happy with to say the least.

Press Association Sport understands Garde has been left disappointed with Villa’s barren transfer window.

Proposed moves for Seydou Doumbia, Wahbi Khazri, Mathieu Debuchy, Loic Remy and Lovre Kalinic all came to nothing.

There has also been speculation linking several of his current players with a move away ahead of Monday’s 11pm deadline, but the Frenchman has dismissed suggestions he could weaken his squad further.

The reported Villa target recently scored for Langreo following his return from injury and the team’s boss Hernan – who is also Michu’s brother – revealed the player has been attracting interest from Spain and Germany, as well as Villa. “Probably the club realise mistakes have been made in the past and they didn’t want to do it again”.

But Villa are the only club in the Premier League’s bottom six who have failed to make any signings in January, despite promising to back Garde with funds when they appointed him back in November 2015.

But despite their pre-season deals the side have struggled and Garde conceded he was unhappy with the lack of movement.

“Maybe today there will be late opportunities coming through, you never know, I will still work on that”. He asked ‘How’s Michu?’ I said he’s OK. I can’t see anything but a home 3-0 win with Valencia the man to open the scoring.
