This new wonderful feature is part of a PlayStation 3.50 software update set to be launched today.

If you have the PlayStation App, version 3.50 goes live tomorrow as well, adding the following: User Scheduled Event, users can schedule gameplay sessions with friends, Dailymotion has been added to Live from PlayStation, and other players’ shared activities appear in your activities.
Under your Profile tab, Quick Menu and login screen, there is a new Online Status option where you can choose to appear offline.
Headlining the list of new things you can do with your PS4 is the ability to let you play PS4 games on your PC using the PS4 Remote Play feature.
The PS3 would notify you when when your friends came online, and with this update, the PS4 will be able to do the same.
From tomorrow, April 6, PlayStation 4 users will be able to download the console’s latest system update. On PC, remote play requires Windows 8.1 or 10, so those still running Windows 7 are out of luck without an upgrade.
Until now, Sony has required either a PlayStation Vita handheld or PlayStation TV set-top box, which were not strong sellers, to remotely stream PS4 games. One Dualshock 4 controller can be used in Remote Play, and needs to be connected to the PC or Mac via USB cable.
You can now receive notifications when your friends come online. This is a great addition for people who want to play a game without having to worry about receiving messages or group invites from friends. System Update 3.5 also allows us to finally appear offline, allowing me to finally enjoy watching Blu-ray’s in peace. When the event starts, friends will automatically be added to the party.

Teens can now create their own accounts and play in offline mode until parents approve the account and complete the parental control. The only requirements to stream your games on your home network are that you have the right OS for the job.
