The first look of Renee Zellweger in the new Bridget Jones film Bridget Jones’s Baby has been released.

The much-hyped movie sees Renée returning as Bridget and Colin Firth reprising his role as love interest Mark Darcy. In the photo, it’s clear that times have changed since we last checked in with the singleton, as Bridget appears to have upgraded her pen-and-paper journal for a more modern version, as she cradles an iPad and offers a sweet smile.
One fan wrote on Twitter: “I won’t pretend that I am not ridiculously excited by this!” According to People Magazine, it was revealed that Bridget will find herself pregnant – thus the official working title “Bridget Jones’s Baby”.
It’s the closest we have seen the actress to her former character in years, and no doubt fans will be over the moon with the return. Production company Working Title Films posted the image to its Facebook page with the caption, “Bridget is back!”
Bridget Jones is back – and this time she is digital.
More than a decade after previous installment “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason”, the lovable Brit has now embarked upon wedded bliss with Colin Firth’s London barrister, Mark Darcy, and possibly parenthood.
“I decided not to do it, but I think they’re going to go ahead and to it without Daniel”, the actor told Free Radio in the West Midlands last October.

The scenes featured Bridget sitting on a mystery man’s shoulders as Ed sang from the stage. “None of the show’s main talent have been involved yet”.
