Rene Angelil, husband & manager of Celine Dion, has died
Charice Pempengco sent her sympathies to Celine Dion and her family over the death of René Angélil.

The 73-year-old, who also mentored and managed the iconic singer’s career, passed away in his Las Vegas home on Thursday. He had also struggled with heart problems after an arterial blockage in 2009.
Celine returned to her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August 2015 after taking a year off to care for her husband.
René Angélil, the beloved husband of singing sensation, Celine Dion, has passed away after a long battle with throat cancer.
Angelil was born in Montreal to a Canadian mother and a Syrian father. After managing groups in Canada, he was approached to manage Dion by her parents when she was aged 12. “He fought a long hard battle”, while Gloria Estefan tweeted: “RIP Rene Angelil, great friend & human being!The world will take @celinedion &ur boys into its arms & continue 2 love & care 4 them 4 U”.
Angelil was Dion’s manager before he became her husband. He wants me to go.
She has been a regular performer at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas since 2003. Dion said he supported her later return to the stage.
In a candid interview with USA Today she described dealing with the pending loss of “the only boyfriend I’ve ever had” and “the leader of the band all my life”.
He is survived by Dion and their three children, Rene-Charles (14) and 5 year old twins Eddy and Nelson.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted his condolences to Dion and to Angelil’s six children, including three from a previous marriage. He can’t eat so I feed him.
