Rep. Chaffetz Asks FBI to Investigate Hillary for Perjury
Still, Comey said Tuesday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation concluded there was “no clear evidence” that Clinton and her staff had intentionally mishandled information, an element experts say is needed for prosecution.

Asked if she agreed that she was “extremely careless”, Mrs Clinton said she was not, adding that Mr Comey had “clarified” his remarks.
In further questioning later on, Rep. Mark Meadows asked whether statements Clinton had made during a presidential debate about not receiving or sending classified information at the time – which appeared to contradict Comey’s testimony – were false.
The FBI director said that while he stood by his decision to not recommend criminal charges against Clinton, he suggested that she may face other consequences.
When asked if the FBI was investigating the Clinton Foundation for its influence at the State Department, Comey refused to answer.
Republicans in Congress have held 13 investigations into Benghazi and found nothing on Clinton.
Comey: “No, we found work-related emails, thousands, that were not returned”.
Gowdy: “Secretary Clinton said there was nothing marked classified on her emails, either sent or received”.
“Not to my knowledge”. The FBI chief said he needed a referral from Congress to investigate the matter. Chaffetz asked in response.
“We have no basis to conclude she lied to the FBI”, Comey told House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) during one of the hearing’s opening exchanges.
Like I said, I understand why people are confused by the whole discussion.
Comey testifies before a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on Capitol Hill on Thursday.
Yeah, and if you’re a government official you should be attentive to it because you know the matters you deal with could involve sensitive information.
Chaffetz said that if a regular person had done what Clinton was suspected of doing, they would have been arrested.

“These are experienced diplomats, they have expertise in handling classified material”, she said in a separate interview with PBS Newshour. John Cornyn, both Republicans, announced they had introduced a bill to revoke security clearances from Clinton and her key aides when she was secretary of state. He also insisted the FBI’s recommendation was not tinged by political considerations.
