Rep. Thornberry shares thoughts on Affordable Care Act
President-elect Donald Trump has promised to repeal and replace the law. Trump has vowed to make sweeping changes to programs like ACA.

The truth is though, the Affordable Care Act isn’t flawless, it is however a good start in nationalizing health care.
According to the California Health Care Foundation, 1.4 million Americans are insured by the Affordable Care Act and more than 20,000 of them are living in the Coachella Valley. Repealing the ACA without a replacement threatens these economic gains as well as state revenues.
“Replacing is going to take some work, so there are any number of questions about what’s going to happen in the intro”, Cochran said. “But I know a lot of veterans who are depending on it”.
“I’ve been a practitioner in Nevada for 31 years as an OB-GYN”.
“Where I am in Milbridge, it’s 40 minutes in either direction to get to a hospital”.
Advocates for people with disabilities say dismantling the Affordable Care Act would be catastrophic for them.
Earlier this week, Cheney and the majority of the U.S. House voted largely along party lines for a process called “budget reconciliation” to be used in order to carve out major elements of the Affordable Care Act. Almost three years later, Kimmel’s team hit the streets for a series of “man on the street interviews” to discuss the plan. That’s why they’ve opposed Medicare and Medicaid for decades. “If we can ensure that they have access, that would be success for the pharmaceutical industry”.

More than 55 million women lose access to birth control and other preventative care presently covered without a co-pay. Contrary to what Republicans have said, the ACA has resulted in more – not fewer – jobs. Georgia is expected to have uncompensated care costs of $2.3 billion in 2019 under the ACA, but if the federal health law is repealed, uncompensated care costs amount to .8 billion in 2019. “They still want something done, they don’t want it to disappear”. There will be a stable transition to a better system that delivers the reforms the American people are demanding: “care you need, at a price you can afford, from a doctor of your choosing”.
