Reporter: No HGH claim against Peyton Manning
Al Jazeera is standing firm behind its explosive report that links Peyton Manning’s wife to banned drugs dispensed by an anti-aging clinic.

“That’s it”, Davies said.
“In talking to an NFL source on Sunday, the NFL is in a problematic situation when it comes to Peyton Manning and this investigation of possible PED use by Manning and other NFL players, according to Al Jazeera network”, Cole said. In the final week of the year, Manning has been implicated in a bombshell doping report saying he received shipments of human growth hormone in his wife’s name while recovering from neck surgery four years ago. It wasn’t true, and I was trying to pull one over on Collins to see if he had any idea of what he was talking about.
“We’re not making the allegation against Peyton Manning”, claimed the Al Jazeera reporter.
Sly also claimed in the undercover video that Manning and his wife visited the clinic for intravenous treatment after the normal business hours.
ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio wrote that Al Jazeera is “suddenly working hard to backpedal from the thrust of its report”. “It is that you don’t believe the person will be honest with you if you went to them and said give us an interview”.
Davies denied that she was backpedaling.
But Julianne Cartmel, general counsel for the Guyer Institute, told CNNMoney that the employee mixed up some dates.
“We have not said that in the program”, said Davies.
“Absolutely not, absolutely not”, Manning said. And even if they could prove use, there is a loophole that could have made it OK for Manning to use the banned substance for a short period of time. “Other people pick that up”.
Why would Sly have lied to Al Jazeera to begin with?
In this December 22, 2011, file photo, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning stands on the field before the team’s NFL football game against the Houston Texans in Indianapolis. Manning does not dispute any deliveries to his wife but stated that he did not use human growth hormones.
The crucial question is whether a clear implication was made in the documentary that Peyton Manning was the eventual recipient of the drug shipments.
For the documentary, journalist Liam Collins went undercover as a 2016 Olympic hopeful in an effort to expose a serious, well-connected performance-enhancing drug trade. Manning said this week he had “never heard of (Sly) up until this report”.
USA TODAY Sports has been unable to reach Davies.

“Don’t reveal your medical condition”. Nearly all drugs you can prescribe off label. Theres no need to because I know what Ive done, Harrison said, later adding its not even a conversation to me. Manning joined the Broncos in 2012 and had a record-setting run, going 47-15 until he tore the plantar fascia in his left foot on November 15.
