Reporter, staff removed from UFC 199 after Lesnar report

The UFC made yet another huge addition to the already stacked UFC 200 card in July, when news broke that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar would return to co-main event the colossal card. However, those qualities also made him a flawless candidate for MMA (mixed martial arts) and it was not a surprise when he switched to UFC and became one of the most popular figures in that particular brand.

The WWE star, who is arguably the biggest pay-per-view draw to ever fight in he UFC, said he had not decided if this was just a one-off fight or if he would continue to compete after UFC 200.

Lesnar told Storm on Monday that he hasn’t been able to live with that decision.

However, as time passed Lesnar’s desire to fight again heightened, but he felt he was in a constant battle with his body.

After a brief run as a superstar in WWE, Lesnar (5-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) tried his hand at making an National Football League roster before transitioning to MMA.

WWE confided that Lesnar remains under contract with the wrestling promotion and is slated to perform at the company’s “SummerSlam” event on August 21.

Hunt, whose participation was announced on ESPN’s SportsCenter on Monday morning, is a New Zealand native who is now ranked as the #8 heavyweight fighter in UFC. Lesnar said he would not return to the Octagon if he didn’t. The former champ joined ESPN SportsCenter Monday morning and revealed his opponent and explained his decision to return to the company.

“At the top of my career, I wasn’t at the top of my game”, Lesnar said. He said returning to mixed martial arts was a hard decision, but it’s not a step away from WWE. “It took me a year”.

Brock Lesnar is back, and the guy who reported it has left the building. “I couldn’t live like that for the rest of my life”, said Lesnar. The rumors started a week ago when the UFC website added Lesnar back to their active fighter roster but quickly removed him. Lesnar said in his mind, he never lost to an opponent, he lost to diverticulitis. “I have never turned down a fight in the UFC”. If Mark Hunt ends up on the ground, the fight’s over. “Obviously, I’m still under contract with WWE”.
