Reporter stands by Peyton Manning doping allegation, Manning dismisses report
For the documentary, journalist Liam Collins went undercover as a 2016 Olympic hopeful in an effort to expose a serious, well-connected performance-enhancing drug trade.

Manning allegedly got HGH from the Guyer Institute, an Indianapolis anti-aging clinic, and tried to cover his tracks by having the shipments mailed to his wife, Al Jazeera reported. And even if they could prove use, there is a loophole that could have made it OK for Manning to use the banned substance for a short period of time. “What Charlie Sly says is that the Guyer Institute shipped human growth hormone to Ashley Manning in Florida”.
“We’re not making the allegation against Peyton Manning”, Davies said, sounding surprised that anyone would possibly think that a documentary which has a man on hidden camera saying growth hormone was sent to Ashley Manning would in any way lead to a conclusion about Peyton Manning.
Even thought it’s not directly said in the report, the implication of the report was that Ashley was a straw purchaser for the drug to help manning’s post-surgery healing.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning may be long-time rivals on the field, but off it there is a mutual respect, and Brady spoke out in support on Manning during an appearance on WEEI radio on Monday. Manning himself has categorically denied all allegations regarding his HGH use, and is arming himself with some heavy guns (a speaker for now) in order this escalates somehow. The Indianapolis Star’s Matt Glenesk said that “you can’t really backtrack any more than” Davies did during the interview.
“Like growth hormone, all the time, everywhere…” It said the drug, which was later banned by the National Football League in the 2011 collective bargaining agreement, was delivered to his wife so that the quarterback’s name was never attached to the shipments.
Al Jazeera claimed that its source, Sly, was a pharmacist at the Guyer Institute, but Sly told ESPN he isn’t a pharmacist and was not at the institute in 2011, but two years later.
Sly has since recanted everything he said in the documentary and alleged that some of his calls and conversations were recorded without his consent. In a statement Saturday night, Manning said: “The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up”.

“Knowing Peyton Manning and everything he stands for, the Denver Broncos support him 100 percent”, said the Broncos. Testing for HGH didn’t begin until 2014, and no players have tested positive. Defamatory lawsuits are very hard for public figures to win, but if Manning can find proof, then he might have a chance.
