Republican Donors Don’t Like Ted Cruz but Will Deal With Him Anyway
Republican presidential candidate John Kasich plans to remind NY primary voters that Ted Cruz is no fan of “New York values” by using the Texas senator’s own words against him.

“We’re taking the Ronald Reagan strategy – trust but verify”, says Scott Hagerstrom, Trump’s MI director.
The vote marks a disappointment for Trump, who won big in the district on Super Tuesday, but has been out-organized by Cruz in numerous early contests to line up convention delegates.
The U.S. senator from Texas made the case he is increasingly viewed as the main Trump alternative by Republicans who can not bring themselves to support Trump as their nominee for the November 8 election. I would assume that if he got close, within 50 or so, it would be like giving somebody a three-foot putt.
“That’s why a lot of people are here”.
Two of the three Republican presidential candidates were on the campaign trail in Pennsylvania during the polling period.
It is a message that Kasich has been pushing on the campaign trail, saying Cruz’s first place win in Wisconsin, and his own last place finish, was more a product of the anti-Trump movement than “pro-Ted Cruz votes”.
Trump leads the polls in the NY state primary on April 19, when 95 Republican delegates are up for grabs. And the Trump slate had several errors: numerous candidates it listed didn’t match up to their assigned numbers on the ballot.
At first glance, the 9th Congressional District’s local convention appears to be fertile ground for Trump, whose large margins of victory in the district helped him win Virginia as a whole in the March 1 primary.
A top aide to Donald Trump said today he was confident that the billionaire can win the Republican nomination for the White House outright and avoid a contested convention in July.
Speaking of the Empire State, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said yesterday, “Any New Yorker who even thinks of voting for Ted Cruz should have their head examined….”
The 9th District Republican Committee convention Saturday was a crucial first test in Virginia of the scramble to secure delegate slots.
In the months since, Cruz and Trump have attacked each other regularly.
The Trump campaign said it wasn’t anxious and had always expected to fare poorly in Colorado because its assembly process is dominated by party insiders.

“It’s looking more and more likely delegates are going to choose our candidate”, Rice said before issuing a warning.
