Republican letter asks party chairman to cut Trump’s funding
But, her failure to endorse party presidential nominee Donald Trump may be a hurdle too high.

For Republicans uncertain about whether Trump has the discipline to maintain focus for his campaign, the latest comments were concerning. “She doesn’t expose what’s going on up here, which isn’t good”, he said, meaning her brain. “He’s losing groups of people he can’t get back”. On Tuesday, after conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt tried to steer Trump toward explaining he really meant Obama’s Mideast policies created conditions that ISIS exploited, Trump wanted none of it.
And as the 2016 race intensifies, both Clinton and Trump have suggested their opponents are unfit to hold the presidency.
And his backers are blaming the media for the perception that all is not well.
Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller says their internal polling shows him up in Maine. But there is fresh urgency as some of those worst fears about Trump’s candidacy are coming to life and reflecting in polls.
It was the same tactic he used to try to quell criticism after he invited Russian Federation in late July to dig up tens of thousands of “missing” emails from Clinton’s time as US secretary of state.
“We’re focused on the Senate for now”, Ian Prior, the spokesperson for Crossroads and two super PACs focused on House and Senate races, said. “He’s essentially guaranteeing that he will lose by refusing to clean up his mistakes and stop committing future ones”. CNN has a long list of senators, representatives, governors and party leaders who have publicly denounced the Republican candidate.
“We believe that Donald Trump‘s divisiveness, recklessness, incompetence, and record-breaking unpopularity risk turning this election into a Democratic landslide, and only the immediate shift of all available RNC resources to vulnerable Senate and House races will prevent the GOP from drowning with a Trump-emblazoned anchor around its neck”, a draft of the letter stated.
Yet Donald Trump’s campaign spokesman insists they believe he has a chance to turn CT red for the first time since 1988, and that’s why he is holding weekend rally there on Saturday.
Democrat Hillary Clinton’s lead over Trump in national polls has widened in recent days, while a growing number of fellow Republicans have declared they won’t support him. It’s a method of approach that allows particularly unscrupulous politicians to claim that, should a result not go their way, victory was unfairly denied to them by the powers-that-be. They could abandon a state such as Virginia, for example, and focus more on a state such as IN, where Democrat Evan Bayh is trying to make a Senate comeback. “And the fact that you’re in Florida. many of you are in Florida, but if you could send out the word to Ohio, Pennsylvania, some of those really important swing states”. They spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to describe publicly those private discussions.
But many Republicans wonder what Trump is waiting for, since Clinton has used time and money to define herself, and more importantly, Trump, without much of a retort.
Others keeping Trump company this past week include former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Democrats, in turn, have used Trump’s often hyperbolic statements ahead of the 8 November election to argue that he is unfit to be president and lacks the temperament to be trusted with matters of national security.
Donald Trump has one field office in Florida, a state of 65 million square miles and 29 electoral votes.
The letter cited various actions by Trump that the signers said have “alienated millions of voters of all parties”.
Dominating news last week were Trump’s remark that Second Amendment backers could “do something” if Hillary Clinton is elected president and appoints liberal judges.
The wealthy southern coast of CT, made up of tony New York City suburbs, has always been fertile fundraising ground and Trump held an event nearby before the rally.
Donald Trump plans to return to Wisconsin next week and once again the state’s top Republican leaders won’t be there.
What is that telling you, somebody who’s been covering politics for some time, and what does it say to Republicans who are watching this race so closely? “Until he gets help and admits it, he won’t be able to change”.
Now, Trump is arguing that in trying to end the war and withdrawing U.S. troops in 2011, Clinton, who was secretary of state at the time, and Obama created Islamic State.
“Why be fake?” she asked. “She lied when she said she only had one device”. “I think if we do, we can win”.
Trump seemed particularly upset with a New York Times article that quotes unnamed associates of his as saying that in private “his mood is often sullen and erratic”.
