Republican presidential candidate Rubio raised $6 million in third quarter
If the $11 million reported by his campaign is accurate, then the $6 million raised over the last three months only added around $1 million to his campaign war chest for the Fall.

A source who attended the gathering and requested anonymity confirmed the details to the Guardian, where campaign officials acknowledged that Rubio’s fundraising was slow over the summer – citing as factors the entry into the race of Wisconsin governor Scott Walker and other candidates in July.
Cruz outpaces his rival Marco Rubio, who told donors earlier on Thursday that his campaign raised $6 million in the third quarter. That’s about what Carson had in the bank after expenses, suggesting that Rubio’s team is spending its resources more cautiously than a few of his competitors.
Over the next several weeks, campaigns will have to being planning, and reserving, ad time in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. October is expected to be Rubio’s best month yet, and the Florida senator raised $1m online alone in September, the source said.
Carson took in a whopping $20 million in the third quarter, an astonishing figure for a political neophyte. Cruz launched his bid just one week before the end of quarter one.
In announcing its third-quarter total, Cruz’s campaign sought to project momentum by noting it doubled its total number of donations during the period.
But Cruz’s money shop has nevertheless beat back candidates who seemed to have similar ideological appeal: Rand Paul has only raised $2.5 million in the third quarter, his campaign said. It reflects what supporters describe as a hard fundraising environment over the summer.

If you’ve seen Senator Rubio in the first two debates, you know that he is substantive, strong and decisive.
