Republican presidential hopefuls condemn terror speech

Calling last week’s mass killing in San Bernardino an “act of terrorism”, President Barack Obama pledged in a nationally televised Oval Office address to destroy the so-called Islamic State.

Republican presidential candidates roundly criticized President Barack Obama’s on Sunday night address to the nation about the United States response to the threat of terror, arguing that he lacked a vision and was not aggressive enough. “I know that after so much war, many Americans are asking whether we are confronted by a cancer that has no immediate cure”, he said.

In an address to the nation Sunday night in the wake of last week’s deadly San Bernardino attacks that the FBI is investigating as terrorism, President Obama called on tech companies for help.

“I think what you’re going to hear from him is a discussion about what government is doing to ensure all of our highest priority – the protection of the American people”, Lynch said in an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press”.

“First, our military will continue to hunt down terrorist plotters in any country where it is necessary, using air strikes to take out ISIL leaders and their infrastructure in Iraq and Syria”, Obama said.

In other tweets, Trump excused Obama for reading a prepared speech off of a teleprompter, but said he hoped Obama wouldn’t criticize Second Amendment gun rights.

Because said task is impossible, Obama’s speech was bound to leave folks unsatisfied.

Since the deadly November 13 attacks by Islamic State followers in Paris and last week’s California shootings, there has been a clear call from American officials for Muslims to help police themselves.

“We can not turn against one another by letting this fight be defined as a war between America and Islam”, the president said. He also emphasized that there is no need for Americans to panic or give up their commitment to individual rights and openness toward refugees from around the world, including those from the strife-torn Mideast.

Authorities say they believe the guns used by the attackers were legally obtained.

Well, Obama refused to say (he just can’t say it), that we are at WAR with RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS.

In the third Oval Office address of his presidency Sunday, Obama spoke for 1,910 words.

“To some degree, that is something that has to come from within the Muslim community itself”, Obama said at a news conference in Antalya, Turkey, after the G20 summit. They are thugs and killers, part of a cult of death, and they account for a tiny fraction of more than a billion Muslims around the world – including millions of patriotic Muslim Americans who reject their hateful ideology.

“As commander in chief, I have no greater responsibility than the security of the American people”, Obama said. “The attacks in San Bernardino should serve as a wake-up call for Obama and Clinton that the way to victory is not through the status quo but refocusing our efforts to defeat ISIS”.
