Republicans boo off Ted Cruz for not endorsing Trump
Senator and former GOP presidential clown vehicle passenger Ted Cruz just spoke at the Republican convention, and the big endorsement of Donald Trump for which everyone was waiting never came. But I can understand what got between him and Trump, and there were just some unfortunate things said. Ted Cruz had some explaining to do to his state delegation Thursday morning.

Cruz left the stage putting on a courageous face, wrapping up his remarks and thanking the audience while Trump entered the venue and gave his formal rival a thumbs-up, sarcastically venting his anger.
Cruz told a meeting of the Texas delegation Thursday morning that he told Trump that he would not endorse him and that Trump and his campaign knew about the contents of Cruz’s speech in advance.
Cruz went on to say he had previously promised to support the Republican nominee even if it wasn’t him.
“I am still trying to process it”, Morgan said after Cruz’s speech.
“He signed a pledge”, said the governor, one of Trump’s closest advisers. I think the people in the arena spoke for themselves. Nor did he ask his supporters, hundreds of whom encouraged him to run for president in four years at an event on Wednesday afternoon, to vote for the newly minted Republican nominee.
Near the end, Cruz urged all present and all watching at home to vote their conscience.
Still, he added that he isn’t going to just “sit down and shut up” and support Republicans’ nominee no matter what.
Cruz refused to endorse his former presidential rival, leaving Wiegert and numerous other Republican delegates angry, frustrated and disappointed.
Hillary Clinton’s campaign, however, used the opportunity to their advantage, tweeting a sentence from Cruz’s speech, “Vote your conscience” with a link to her website.
That includes a speech by conservative commentator Laura Ingraham, a Glastonbury High School graduate who generated cheers from the crowd Wednesday night with her pro-Trump remarks and call for party unity. “I think it’s going to blow people away”. “In this election, there is only one candidate who will uphold the constitution”.

“Don’t come out on stage if you don’t want to endorse”, Eric Trump told NBC.
