Republicans condemn Planned Parenthood attacker
With lawmakers returning to the Capitol for the first time since Friday’s killing of three people at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Senate’s top Democrat called on House Republicans to abandon their investigation of the group, which he called politically motivated.

Instead, the real estate mogul attributes the attack on the clinic to mental illness. “As a doctor and Alabama’s Governor, the issue of human life, from conception to birth and beyond, is extremely important to me”. I mean, obviously he was there at a Planned Parenthood health center, but it’s very upsetting obviously.
“I see a lot of anxiety and I see a lot of dislike for Planned Parenthood, there’s no question about that”, Trump said.
Federal law allows the use of tissue from aborted fetuses for medical research and for groups to be reimbursed for the costs of packing and shipping it. Planned Parenthood recently announced that it would no longer ask medical researchers to cover those expenses.
Senate Republicans are taking other steps this week that could ease the pressure to defund Planned Parenthood in the government spending bill.
Answering Planned Parenthood advocates who accuse critics of the organization of nurturing an environment that contributed to the shooting, McCarthy bluntly stated, “This individual, this shooting, the thing that drove him most is he’s an evil, insane man”. “With all that has happened, and the character of Planned Parenthood, we don’t think they should be on the list, and that’s what we’re demanding – that Bank of America remove Planned from their list for matching donations from corporate headquarters”.
In addition to assuring the state that it complies with Alabama law and does not harvest organs from unborn children, Planned Parenthood Southeast also assured Governor Bentley that it is a separate business entity from the organizations that have admitted to accepting money for harvesting organs in the past, the governor’s office said.
In October, U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson issued an injunction to restore state Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood while the lawsuit is ongoing.
But abortion providers see a clear link between the videos and Friday’s shooting. We’ve seen rhetoric that I haven’t ever seen in a national presidential election before, again, demonizing women and numerous health care providers that provide services to women. i just think that it behooves all of us in this country to look at these kinds of incidents and take stock of what we can do to prevent them in the future.
“God knows that’s not what anybody would want”, Huckabee said Sunday. “We have and will continue to condemn acts of violence, regardless of the motivations behind them”.
