“It’s been sort of a surreal six months”, Kelly told Fallon, adding that she never anticipated the negative reaction from Trump to what she viewed as a fair line of questioning about his electability.

With a new power-bob and book deal, it’s safe to say that everything is coming up Megyn Kelly.
Megyn Kelly on Donald Trump – We were fairly curious to see how Kelly would handle this interview, mostly because she’s found herself in such an unusual position partially aligned with Colbert in a way.
‘I still think it was a great question.
NBC, Getty ImagesDonald Trump’s ongoing feud with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly came to a head last week when the real-estate mogul skipped the last debate.
Kelly said she has no regrets about her question during the first debate, when she asked Trump about his comments toward women, calling them “fat pigs”, “dogs”, “slobs” and “disgusting animals”.
Trump later said that decision might have hurt him and contributed to his second-place finish behind Texas Sen. Instead, Trump hosted his own fundraiser for veterans nearby.
Trump ignored Fox’s suggestion and carried through on his threat to boycott the debate. Kelly mentioned that the real estate mogul has not committed to participating in that debate, but said she hopes he does. I mean, you are the flawless one to ask that question – you have been, you know, under fire from me for a long time and you are far from a woman. The whole affair has morphed Trump vs. Kelly into one of the most talked about clashes of the current presidential race.
“Is there anything you’d like to refuse to call him right now?” the host inquired.
“The bigger question in my mind is whether Donald Trump will be at that one”, he said.
The Republican frontrunner had not been so committal during a press conference in New Hampshire on Tuesday night.
By stating clearly that he’ll be at the debate, which will feature Kelly, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier as moderators, Trump appears to be robbing himself of the opportunity to tease the media and his Twitter followers with non-attendance threats. Not only was she optimistic that he’s going to show, but Kelly also snuck in a good quip about some unfinished business.

Of course, a healthy amount of Donald Trump’s vitriol is typically reserved for his political foils but there have been some signs that technique is now wearing thin with Republican voters.
