Concerned Republicans say their worries go beyond the campaign’s decision to send its greatest resource – the candidate himself – to chase one or two electoral votes in ME, or to what they believe are unwinnable states like CT.
Trump first made the unfounded claim on Wednesday and repeated it through the week, including in an interview on Thursday with radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt.

In his latest remarks, the real estate mogul called Clinton and president Barack Obama the “co-founders” of the militant group calling itself Islamic State.
A Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist poll released on Friday suggested support for Trump is eroding among voters in three battleground states.
A new poll showed Trump, whose unfiltered speaking style has repeatedly landed him in hot water, losing ground in three crucial states ahead of the November 8 general election against Clinton.

Gov. Rick Snyder, who can not run for a third term because of term limits, has decided not to endorse Trump four years after the governor rallied with GOP nominee Mitt Romney in MI. “They might as well do it sooner to have more impact”, said former Minnesota Rep. Vin Weber, one of the Republicans to sign the letter to Priebus. “But at the end of the day, I know he’ll be a great president – if he can win”.
But the GOP leader said the challenging landscape for Republicans in 2016 was because they are defending more seats than the Democrats. He is to hold separate events on Friday in Erie and Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Trump said: “Obviously, I’m being sarcastic – but not that sarcastic, to be honest with you”.
It was the second time in recent weeks that Trump has explained a controversial statement as sarcastic. It accused Trump of trying to silence him because he eventually supported Sen.
The group brought the endorsement to a vote, only to have 72 percent of its membership oppose supporting Trump.
“I’m the one raising the money for them”, he continued.
“We’ve always found it’s wise to have people traveling with him, because it’s an opportunity to have him engaged and not just sitting there”, Manafort said. “She ought not be president of the United States”.
The same day, Trump acknowledged that his lack of political correctness could cost him the election if Americans reject his blunt approach.

Trump has faced serious backlash in recent weeks after attacking Gold Star families, praising violent foreign leaders and inviting Russian Federation to “find” the lost emails from Clinton’s server.
