Republique is Coming to Playstation 4 in Early 2016

The fact that it was initially meant for mobile doesn’t necessarily mean it is simple or casual in anyway.

Publisher Gungho Entertainment announced today that the dystopian stealth game, Republique, is heading over to the PS4 in early 2016, including a list of several changes for the port of the game.

“République”, developed by Camougflaj and Logan Games, was originally announced and revealed for iOS devices.

Gamespot reports GungHo has lifted Republique up for its reassure presentation, and that the PS4 variant will have players taking “full control” of hero Hope.

Camouflaj was founded by Ryan Payton, known for his work producing Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots. As things were looking bleak for this mobile game, Camouflaj decided to bring it to PC as well, which helped the project gain enough contributors to fund it. “I can’t thank GungHo enough for supporting our efforts to faithfully translate République into a true console experience”.

The new release will come exclusively via the Playstation Network in a single package, with a release sometime early next year. Currently, only the first three episodes are available to play. When it launches on PS4-where it’ll be available on the PlayStation Store-the game will consist of all five episodes.
