With bending cityscapes and one of the most creative backstories in Marvel, the second trailer for Doctor Strange puts comic book fans in the middle of what looks to be another promising film.

Whereas DC Comics used Hall H to assure fans that its cinematic heroes are in good creative hands, Marvel unfurled its sneak-peeks with the idea that it is business as usual, as the studio looks to continue its winning streak.

Back in April, we got a preliminary taste of Benedict Cumberbatch’s entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the first trailer for the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange. Aside from more character context, the new trailer showcases more of the dizzying visual effects that play a huge role in the film.

The 6,500-plus audience, many of whom had queued overnight at San Diego’s annual film and pop culture event, were introduced to the lead cast of the “Black Panther” movie, directed by “Creed” filmmaker Ryan Coogler.

Set for release on November 4th, later this year, the cast also includes Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton.
