Resumption of Bristol race again delayed by rain

“We were good on the short runs, not so good on the long runs”, said Hamlin.

Right after the race restarted, the yellow flag was displayed again for another member of the Busch family, Kurt Busch. – Kurt Busch on the spin-out that caught up Brad Keselowski, ending both drivers’ chances of winning Sunday.

“It’s us against us”, Harvick said. “We are able to get to the bottom and make passes later in runs”. Originally scheduled to start Saturday night, the drivers were only able to compete for less than 40 laps before the race was red-flagged due to rain. Pole-sitter Carl Edwards had fallen to seventh when the race was stopped.

FINALLY GREEN: The postponed race was supposed to resume at 1 p.m. ET Sunday, but heavy rains made that an impossibility. Chase Elliott was second, followed by Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth. “A frustrating day. Let’s go home”. We’ve had some good cars here over the last few years. “[My crew chief] doesn’t really like to do it that way, but I think it’s fun to pass cars”.
