Rex Ryan: Firing Greg Roman was ‘my move, without question’
The Jets got away with it by recovering an onside kick after the Bills’ first touchdown, but had Rex Ryan not wasted a timeout for no reason earlier in the quarter, it’s possible the Jets would have punted back to the Bills and given them a chance to win the game.

Friday’s firing of offensive coordinator Greg Roman on the heels of Thursday night’s 37-31 loss to the New York Jets creates an undeniable impression: The Bills are the first team to panic in the 2016 season. After the team picture, Ryan informed Roman that he was relieving him of his duties.
I don’t think the Ravens offense will be as bad as it showed in week 1 against the Bills as the season goes along. If the Bills don’t turn things around, I wonder if Ryan is even around at that point.
The Bills do have some talented playmakers on offense.
Buffalo quarterback Tyrod Taylor passed for a career-high 297 yards and three touchdowns but also threw a fourth-quarter interception as the Bills fell to 0-2 for the first time since 2010, when they lost the first eight games. NY led much of the first half in Week 1, but a blocked field goal, missed an extra point and various other late miscues led to a one-point defeat.
The running attack has particularly struggled a year after leading the National Football League with 2,432 yards.
Just two games into the regular season and change has already come to the Buffalo Bills coaching staff.
That’s not what was counted on from a unit that returned mostly intact and was expected to be more comfortable with Roman’s philosophies and playbook.
Last season, defenses could take away Marshall and Decker then have some success stopping the Jets defense. Taylor’s progress on the field, as well as off it, led the Bills to sign the former Virginia Tech standout to a longterm contract extension.
“Coach Roman was my tight ends coach my first two years at Stanford”, Eagles tight end Zach Ertz told The Press in 2014. “I thought it’s better than doing it maybe on a Sunday game”. “I thought I was going to be fishing in my backyard in Florida”. “He got some treatment, but he’s walking around pretty good”. The team announced the move Friday afternoon. “It all falls back to believing”. Rex Ryan, the team’s second-year head coach, brought in his brother, Rob, during the off-season to help coach the Bills’ defence. He previously worked with Ryan when the two were assistants in Baltimore.
Yet it was Roman who was sacked Friday, not anyone named Ryan.

Shady is just not living up to expectations in Buffalo, I think it’s time for the Bills to look for another HB either through free agency or the draft.
