RG3 says he’s fine with Hue’s hesitation to name starter
Robert Griffin III is expected to win the job over veteran Josh McCown.

Gordon’s partying lifestyle caught up with him when he tested positive for alcohol, resulting in being banned for the entire 2015 season. They won’t have time.
“My focus is on doing what I can to be the best player for this team to help lead them to victories”, Griffin said. “I think me standing here is a testament to that”, Gordon said via NFL.com.
“It’s going to show itself really quickly and it would definitely be before we play our first preseason game”, Jackson said. You’ve done your studying, you continue to do your studying, you’ve worked hard, you’ve run, you’ve lifted, all those things, and now you just gotta come out here and have fun.
Bradford, who has struggled to get the ball down the field at times, would get a proven threat in Gordon, who averages 17. “The more fun you have, the easier it is for you to play freely and go out and make plays”.
Friday marked the first of 11 practices the Browns have on their schedule before their August 12 preseason opener at Green Bay. Last season’s starter, Josh McCown remains on the team.
“He has a lot to prove, we all have a lot to prove”, Griffin said. “We’re going to hit the ground running tomorrow at the start of practice and we’ll start evaluating that position, as well as all of the positions as we move forward”. We’re all supportive of that. “I think I got off my chest things I was desperately trying to convey”. But eventually you get to that point. I trust (Jackson’s) leadership on that.
The 6-foot-2 Griffin had a rather unspectacular workout. “That’s not who I am”.
His career started quietly, with Gordon appearing in all 16 games that season with 13 starts, catching 50 passes for 805 yards and five scores.
Griffin would seem to be the leader at the moment. Hue Jackson is widely accepted as a good hire, and has talked about a willingness to fit his system around RG3, not force Griffin into his system. “I know he’s a big brother”. The same guy that came out in 2012, but just wiser.
“I think that’s the beauty of the game”. The Browns haven’t seen that at all.
“I’m not really nervous”, he said. The team was also able to chat with Gordon about what he wants to do with his second chance with the Browns. He wants to build relationships with all of the players. He goes out of his way to set up different bowling things, and he just wants team camaraderie.
“He’s the reason why I committed to Baylor in 2009”, Gordon said Thursday. Starting RG John Greco is sidelined with an unspecified injury….
All of this is not to say the Browns are playoff bound this year, or that they’ll even make it close to.500.
Three of the Eagles’ seven picks in this year’s National Football League draft have checkered pasts, which displays a change of philosophy for the organization.

“Of course, he’s facing considerable competition with (Paul) Kruger, (Barkevious) Mingo, (nate) Orchard and fellow rookie (Joe) Schobert when it comes to what kind of playing time he’ll see and, perhaps more importantly, when he sees it. It’s also worth watching where (defensive coordinator Ray) Horton and Co. put Schobert, who could play either inside or outside backer”.
