Baylor running back Terence Williams (22) runs past Rice cornerback J.T. Blasingame (14) on his way to a 24-yard touchdown run during the second quarter of an NCAA football game at Rice Stadium on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, in Houston. Rice is giving up yards in bunches, allowing 531.5 per game thus far, and those are against offenses far less potent than Baylor. The second half would also see the Bears running attack get going, led by freshman JaMycal Hasty with 105 yards. No single tailback for the Bears has yet to surpass 100 rushing yards in a game.

Tonight’s Baylor Bears vs Rice college football game has a start time schedule of 7:30pm eastern time and airs on TV channel ESPN.

Although Baylor beat Rice 38-10 at the Owls’ home opener, it’s the halftime show that many people are still talking about. Rice P Jack Fox is averaging 44.8 yards on 12 punts in the first two games.

For the second consecutive week, Baylor fell into an early field-goal deficit when Rice marched to the Bears’ 6-yard line.

The Bears responded with an eight-play, 84-yard touchdown drive that took only 2:24. During its performance, the MOB formed a “IX” in front of the visiting fans section in an apparent reference to the scandal, one involves several Baylor players over a number of years and got Briles fired.

“Really the reason I jumped is because I wasn’t trying to get hit on my bad knee”, Cannon said. I’m not talking per game, I am talking for the season. Two plays into Rice’s possession, Darik Dillard broke free and tore off a 59 yard run deep into Baylor territory, but Tion Wright came cross field to strip Dillard and force the fumble.

However, Rice’s 3-0 lead seemed to be a wake-up call for the Baylor offense, which had been sluggish to that point. He passed Walter Abercrombie (1978-81) with 3,665 yards. “I think the consensus at Rice is that The MOB didn’t do a whole lot wrong”. While Seth Russell has looked good through the first two weeks it has been the running back-by-committee approach that has caught everyone’s eye.

The 21st-ranked Baylor Bears continued to rumble through nonconference play as they shrugged off the Rice Owls on Friday night at Rice Stadium. The Bears gave up 5.6 yards per rush but limited Rice to just 1.1 yards per pass. Big schools like Baylor are going to now pass on a trip to Houston to play Rice.
