Donald Trump is sitting at the top of the heap of the top 10 Republican candidates as we head into next week’s presidential debate.
However, we’re not sure if some of the ardent homophobes running for President could cope with seeing lots of sweaty shirtless men exercising.
Rick Perry has beforehand been caught evaluating homosexuality to alcoholism. Fourth, unlike many of his movement conservative/Tea Party rivals, Perry is not overly concerned about alienating Trump supporters who (once the Trump bubble has inevitably burst) will still be casting votes in the 2016 primaries or, in the long term, undermining his future power in the U.S. Senate, adversely affecting his reelection bid and/or reducing the amount of money he will earn as a commentator, speaker or author.
“You elect me president of the United States and I will promise the American people one thing”, Perry said during the interview, “the will to secure that border will reside in the Oval Office every day”.
Perry is in many ways positioning himself not against the other Republicans, but against likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who has used populist language to criticize Wall Street, but is perceived as a person ready to receive cash and favors from the big financial firms. The presidential candidate also elaborated on issues that could form the core of his fiscal policy.

Perry and his aides have needled Trump for what they see as a mismatch between his tough talk and his tony, cosmopolitan image. “The proof is in Texas’ performance after the Great Recession”.
