Rickie Fowler: ‘Patience is key at US PGA Championship’
Rickie Fowler is still waiting.

This season, he’s been far less impressive in the majors, finishing tied for 12th at the Masters, in a tie for 30th at the British Open and missing the cut at the U.S. Open.
“I came into the year just focusing on getting a win wherever it might be”.
How many golfers have won all four majors?
Next week at Whistling Straits, Spieth will be bidding to join fellow Americans Ben Hogan and Tiger Woods as the only players in the modern era to have won three majors in a single year.
“And to win the way I did, making birdies coming in, definitely made it that much better”. “It’s always been a dream of mine to be a major champion”.
“But it does not make our task any more daunting”.
“It’s cool to look at it and know that I played well enough to win”.
Having come so close on four occasions last year, the dream for Fowler remains winning that elusive first major. Having done it 18 times, it was easy for him to say.
“I’m going to try to get the U.S. Open trophy flown in so I can sit it on the front of each green for Phil so I’ll have something for him to – that’s just dishing it back”, Spieth told reporters following the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
“So I don’t look at them as any harder to win, you just really have to be patient and not push any harder than needed”.
15 year old Maggie Brill of Hingham wasn’t sure she would actually get the shot – a selfie with Jordan Spieth.
Phil Mickelson, if you didn’t know, is a bit of a gambler. In the end, however, it was Spieth who got the best of Phil and took the money game.
This was one of the more anticipated Tuesday money games given all the star power. So that’s how I’m looking at it.
“We talk a lot of trash out there”. So we had a good time yesterday. So it’s great preparation for the week. Jordan and Justin got us 1-up.

“I feel like my game has evolved in a way that has me nearly ready for any situation. But we would be the underdogs as it stands right now”.
