At least 200 civilians were killed in Russian air strikes in Syria from 30 September to 29 November, an Amnesty International report says. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitoring group, said the strike was carried out by Russian Federation. “They must halt all use of cluster munitions and stop dropping unguided bombs on civilian areas”, said Philip Luther.

A local activist group said 49 civilians were either dead or missing feared dead.
The findings indicate “serious failures [by Russia] to respect global humanitarian law”, Amnesty says.
Russian Federation has yet to directly respond to Amnesty’s report. A spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin said the government hadn’t seen the report but would look into it. “Russian aviation does not use them”, he said. “Russian aviation are not using them”, the general-major added.
