As if that number weren’t staggering enough, Samsung bought one million copies of the new Rihanna album to give away to fans for free, and those have all been redeemed.

To-date Rihanna has sold 54 million albums and 210 million digital tracks worldwide, making her the top-selling digital artist of all time. It is her first full-length LP since 2012’s Unapologetic and is now only available to stream and download on Tidal.

This is the first single from Rihanna’s highly-anticipated eighth album and follows the release of Bitch Better Have My Money, American Oxygen and FourFiveSeconds in 2015.

The single marks the second time Rihanna and Drake have collaborated, after teaming up on What’s My Name, from her 2010 album Loud. “Thank you to all my fans and [Samsung Mobile US]”.

As for Rihanna’s new single with Drake, fans are going nuts in response even though there was a bit of confusion about how to listen to the new single.

“Work”, featuring RiRi’s frequent collaborator and one-time boo, was released on Tidal this morning, surrounding rumors that the full album would debut sometime before Friday.

Rihanna also recently announced that she will be embarking on a worldwide tour starting February 2016 with rumoured boyfriend Travis Scott.

Reactions to the album has so far been mixed, as it sees the singer taking a departure from her usual style.

Instead, Anti features 13 new songs, including “Love On The Brain”, “Kiss It Better”, “Same Ol’ Mistakes” and the single released on Wednesday with Drake, titled “Work“.
