Rihanna Delivers VMA Vanguard Speech; Drake Introduces The Award Rihanna

“She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old”, Drake added, proceeding to hand Rihanna her award and giving her a hug.

He’ll have another chance to own the night since his controversial “Famous” music video – featuring what appears to be naked images of West, Swift, Kim Kardashian and Donald Trump – is nominated for best male video and video of the year. Sunday, it was hyped, would be Britney’s triumphant VMA return. It was spiteful of MTV to schedule her right after the “Lemonade” performance, but you really have to appreciate Spears’ effort to lip-sync her way through “Make Me”.
