Rihanna gets behind the bar at Up & Down, cozies up to Drake
Rather than focusing on Rihanna’s one-two-three-four (!) career-spanning performances, this meme encourages women to “Get over your Chris Brown and wait for your Drake”, because of course Rihanna’s mission since leaving an abusive relationship has been to attract a “good guy”.

How fun must that be to dance in?
The best part about the whole thing, though, is that it won her some serious points with her boys, Sean and Jayden.
When Drake was presenting the award to the “Diamonds” singer, he said, “She’s one of my best friends in the world”.
She took the stage with a message of female empowerment and made us fear and respect her talent – something only a mother could do.
It’s taking everything in our power not to make yet another “Work” reference here.
Beyoncé totally dominated last night’s MTV Video Music Awards – so much that even Kanye West didn’t mind her winning – and she hit a pretty major milestone in the process: beating Madonna’s all-time VMAs record. When it comes to performance, they swarm in masses just to be in her presence … obviously.
It was reminiscent of the 2014 VMAs, when Beyonce also performed for 16 minutes and accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award. He talked about her music, her personality and her ability to stay grounded, and then publicly declared his long-time love for the global pop star. But the biggest moment for Rihanna came when Drake – in a tuxedo – presented the award to his former girlfriend.
“My success, it started as my dream”.
Fans who picked up on the Venus symbol commented that it was the ideal close to Formation, a song celebrating black womanhood.
“I dedicate this award to the people of New Orleans”, she said.
During the “Sorry” singer’s speech, she looked stunning in a lavish Elie Saab gold lace jumpsuit, which she completed with a matching cape.
Sunday, it was hyped, would be Britney’s triumphant VMA return.
It was the scene of Kanye West’s now infamous rant where he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech in 2009.

Presenters on the night included recent Olympic gold medallists, swimmer Michael Phelps and USA gymnasts Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian.
