At a private Wednesday night viewing, Rihanna and contemporary artist Roy Nachum transformed L.A.’s MAMA Gallery into the RiRi Gallery.

Rihanna’s eighth album will be titled, “ANTI.” A poem by Chloe Mitchell is written on the canvas cover art in braille.

This is the first time an album has ever incorporated physical Braille.

Rihanna has unveiled the artwork for her new album, calling it her favourite yet. Heard in a way I so rightfully deserve.

My shield, and all that I am.

“Sometimes the ones who have sight are the blindest”, Rihanna added after the unveiling.

I will comfortably breathe it in, until I find the moment to be silent. The world is pin drop sound compared to the boom that thumps and bumps against the walls of my cranium.

The album artwork was designed by Roy Nachum as a statement on vision and vision impairment. I live it and love it and despise it and I am entrapped in it. So being misunderstood, I am not offended by the gesture, but honored. What remains to be seen is whether this is simply a rebranding of the current album, or an entirely new creation.

Whispers on the Internet led folks to believe Rihanna was releasing her album at midnight PST, but after a diligent east coast VIBE writer realized after staying up until 3AM, that wasn’t the case.
