MTV said on its website, “So many artists are doing incredible things with multipart music video series”, so they’re recognising creativity for things like ‘Lemonade’. The 28-year-old singer took to her Twitter handle to share the big news. The Bajan pop sensation has also been nominated for four Moonmen, with two nods each for both “Work” featuring Drake and “This Is What You Came For” featuring Calvin Harris.
Rihanna has been named as the 2016 recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
The Video Vanguard recipients typically perform a medley of their hits at the live awards show, but in 2015, Kanye used his stage time for a lengthy speech, during which he announced plans to run for the White House in 2020.
