Rimac Concept_One destroys Ferrari LaFerrari, Tesla Model S in acceleration test
And for good measure the Concept_One was also pitted against a Tesla Motors [NSDQ:TSLA] Model S P90D with Ludicrous mode and the result was pretty much the same.

One major unknown, though, is how long charge in the Concept_One’s 82-kilowatt-hour battery will last when the vehicle is pushed to the limit for extended periods of time, such as at a race track.
While other electric cars have great performance off the line, they quickly loose their breath as speed increases. “On a full ¼ mile, the difference between the Tesla and the Concept_One is quite large”.
Rimac is still fine tuning the Concept_One but has previously stated that the starting price will be $980,000.
In an explanatory blog post on the automaker’s site, founder, CEO, and CTO Mate Rimac, writes that in those drag runs, the Concept_One managed to do 0 to 62 miles per hour in 2.69 seconds and ran the quarter mile in 9.92 seconds; more remarkably, he adds that the car’s “powertrain has potential” for even more power. With four motors that have 1600 Nm of torque (1180 lb-ft) at basically zero RPM and well over 1000 hp, the Concept_One has enough torque and power to keep its tires busy even at high speeds. We have worked really hard to maximize the performance for track use and not just for a couple of acceleration runs.
Driven by Juraj Sebalj, one the country’s most successful rally and hill climb champions, the video is said to show Sebalj testing the Concept_One’s torque vectoring capability at the very limit.
The Concept_one has been in limited-production since 2014.

Gearbox. Each of the four motors is connected to an independent gearbox. It’s not clear how many they have delivered so far, but the company says they have delivered the one in the video to a customer in the U.S. after filming.
