Brazilian supermodel Leandra Medeiros Cerezo, known professionally as Lea T, will be the first transgender person to participate in the ceremony, thus displaying the theme of inclusion proudly, worldwide.
NBC executives have given vague statements about the reason for the tape delay, ranging from cultural context to the demographics of Olympics viewers. It is on August 5, 2016. It will be the first time in five Olympic appearances he will march in the opening.
