The 14-year-old competed in five swimming finals in Rio de Janeiro in her first Paralympic Games.

Accordingly, Iran’s Paralympic caravan managed to scoop eight gold, nine silver and seven bronze medals to stand in the 15th place in Rio with a total of 24 medals.
“The team had mixed emotions after winning bronze, our goal was always very high so although we are very pleased to have won a medal as not many athletes get that chance, we still feel slightly sore from not getting that gold medal”.
Firth was joined by Dame Sarah Storey, Hannah Cockcroft and equestrian competitors Natasha Baker and Sophie Christiansen in clinching three titles as Britain finished second in the medals table with 64 gold.
A moment of silence was observed during the closing ceremonies in remembrance of an athlete who was fatally wounded during his event.
