Rio Olympics: Perfect 10 for British couple
The 28 year old was able to seal a magnificent achievement as he won his third gold medal of the Rio Olympics, and his sixth overall, after victories in the team and individual sprints at Beijing, London and now Rio.

During her interview, one of many since making history at the Olympics, Laura continued to joke about her new superstar status along with her fiancé, Jason Kenny, saying the whole experience is “surreal”. “If I don’t work then I don’t get paid”.
Trott won her fourth gold medal yesterday – more than any other British woman – and alongside fiance Jason Kenny she’s no doubt part of the most successful Olympic household in the country.
“I worked day-in, day-out with those girls, and the team pursuit is what I really targeted”.
Earlier, Trott crushed the opposition to retain her women’s track cycling omnium title, becoming the first British woman to win four Olympic gold medals.
“Our athletes are busting their backsides to be at the top level and so what we need to do is look a little bit deeper as to why we haven’t moved from March to August at the same rate, particularly as Great Britain”, he said. She’s won four total between London and Rio. There was a first ever cycling medal for Malaysia, as Azizulhasni Awang took bronze. She loves a good cry as well. “I was just floating through it”, said an uncharacteristically emotional Kenny afterwards.
Yet when it comes to the last three Games put together, Germany has managed two gold, Australia has one, and France has been shut out, compared to Britain’s 20.
Two of them came courtesy of cyclists Jason Kenny and Laura Trott, who both secured gold medals in the velodrome.
“It’s amusing I love the Olympics and the atmosphere in the village”, the self-effacing Kenny told reporters.
“I was a little bit anxious then, but once it was re-run I knew the second false start didn’t even matter because you could tell it wasn’t Jason who might be in trouble”.
“[We will] probably take the dogs for a walk”.
“But I would like to add that in these four years we’ve won 12 world titles”, he said.

“I’m home as soon as possible”. I can walk for miles and not see a soul. “I like my life”, Kenny addded. It’s not like I’m starving to death.
