In the evening track and field session, American decathlete Ashton Eaton is expected to deliver more gold for the United States when the event wraps up with javelin and 1,500 in the night session. But how did one of our own get so popular with the big man, the 29-year-old Bolt, who has won seven Olympic gold medals? Bolt first broke Michael Johnson’s formidable record of 19.32 in the 2008 Olympics and then went faster again in the following year’s World Championship with a 19.19.

“Who wouldn’t be thankful for another medal?” “That’s all I can say because he might not feel it now but he is gonna feel it tomorrow”. “I guess hard work pays off”.

De Grasse shared a light moment with Usain Bolt, while they were running for the 100m race, and both of them have qualified for the 200m finals, tonight at 9:30! Other short odds to prevail are Andre De Grasse (+1600) and LaShawn Merritt (+2800).

Bolt even had a playful taunt for De Grasse following the youngster making every effort to almost beat him in the semifinal. He sped up, and suddenly the two were nose-to-nose, peering and smiling at each other down the stretch.

Two of the athletes who in theory could have threatened Bolt, or at least the medals, will not even line up in the final. He wagged his finger at the up-and-comer as they crossed the line. “Aw yeah, what’s up son”, she said, impersonating Bolt. I was really happy and I’ll take that. He’s great. He has a lot of talent. “I’m looking forward to the competition in the final”.

Bolt wagged his finger at De Grasse and laughed, but later said that he did not really find it amusing.

Runner Usain Bolt has found a new rival after Justin Gatlin surprisingly failed to advance past the men’s 200-meter semifinals.

“We got to be positive when things like that happen”, said Tyson Gay.

In one interview Bolt said: “At the end DeGrasse decided that he wanted to run through and I am like, ‘What are you doing?'”. But they’re ahead of the game. The Olympic and world champion had a 124-point lead over world championship silver medalist Damian Warner. Bartoletta jumped 7.17 meters on her fifth of six attempts. Brazil, the two-time defending Olympic champions, was defeated by China in the quarterfinals. All three American riders advanced to the semifinals, including Connor Fields, who summed up the day like this: “The best I can describe it is, put 800 lions in a cage, throw out a big steak and open the doors”.

Darya Klishina, the lone Russian in the entire meet due to a doping scandal in the country, finished ninth.

De Grasse later on went to Coffeyville Community College in the years 2013 and 2014.
