Ripa, on ‘Live,’ says uproar over exiting co-host settled
Kelly Ripa is supposedly “talking about leaving” the series altogether, according to Us Weekly’s insider, but “hopes Anderson Cooper or Andy Cohen gets the job” and will likely consider staying with the ABC morning show if her choice is hired. Strahan, who was originally supposed to be making his departure from the show in September, will now leave May 13.

In Live!’s daily Instagram video of the co-hosts backstage, Strahan is seen knocking on a door and joking with the crew but has no interaction with Ripa.
She also said she’s “thrilled for Michael” and “couldn’t be prouder for you, and everything we’ve accomplished”.
“Obviously, Philbin and the producers were already big fans of Ripa, but that insane incident ensured she was at the top of their list of potential co-hosts”, The Post reports.
The news reportedly came as no surprise to any of the show executives except Ripa, his on-screen counterpart.
However, with office politics existing, Rita is presently facing an ordeal that has affected her life and her work.
When Ripa returned to the show Tuesday, she noted during her opening monologue that she had been with the company for 26 years.
“I gained some perspective”.
She said her bosses had apologized to her for the slight. The door is even open for a female co-host to take the reigns, which has never happened on Live before. What transpired though, over the course of a few days, has been extraordinary, in the sense that it started a much greater conversation about communication and consideration and, most importantly, respect in the workplace. “This is my second home – a place I’ve devoted myself to”.
NEW YORK (WKOW) – “LIVE with Kelly and Michael” co-host Michael Strahan confirmed Monday that his on-air partner, Kelly Ripa, will be back on the show Tuesday.
Yet the network surely didn’t anticipate the drama would play out in the media or how it would raise questions about when – or if – Ripa would return.
As last week’s absence wore on with little comment from Ripa, media outlets analyzed the validity of her complaint and overwhelmingly came to her defense.
“I am fairly certain that there are trained professional snipers with tranquilizer darts in case I drift too far off message”, said Ripa, who appeared emotionally taken aback by the audience response.

“You need me-I’m coming back to help out”, he said.
