Riyad Mahrez signs new deal with Leicester
“It (the Premier League) is the best league in the world, the most exciting, where there is the most at stake”. Mentally, we took a blow at half-time and we did not have the same drive we had in the first half. I’ve achieved good things with this club.

Arsenal trio Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny are all in contention to make their first appearance of the season against Premier League champions Leicester City, following an extended rest after the European Championships.
Mahrez would have been a fantastic signing for Arsenal, as he had a fantastic year last season en route to the PFA Player of the Year award.
His form last season also saw Mahrez named Player of the Year by England’s Professional Footballers’ Association.
The reigning champions were beaten 2-1 in their Premier League opener, while Arsenal were defeated 4-3 by Liverpool.
Leicester opened the season with a 2-1 loss at Hull and so far hasn’t repeated the dynamic performances that helped the team surge to an unexpected title triumph last campaign. “Now he knows very well what I want and my expectation is higher, not only for Riyad but for all of my players”. I have a lot of respect for him. We are strong and we believe.
“It seems nearly inevitable that either Mahrez or Vardy will score after their links with Arsenal this summer and subsequent new contracts, especially with an understrength Arsenal defence”, says ESPN. “The clubs always pay for the fact that the players played in these tournaments”, he said.
“I don’t want to talk about the decisions”, said City boss Claudio Ranieri.
“We spoke together last season and in pre-season and he told me he wanted to stay”.

On the other side, Arsenal lost to Liverpool last weekend so this game will be especially important for them because they don’t want to fall six points behind the competition after just two games played.
