RNC 2016: Bernie Sanders rips apart Donald Trump’s speech on Twitter
His acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland had plenty of Trump’s standard stuff: “The country has gone completely to hell, and I am the only one who can fix it”, and “Hillary Clinton is a criminal who deserves to be imprisoned, or worse, for her crimes”, and “Anyone who questions me is a loser, a has-been, and a ‘horrible person'”.

Rather than run a failed wash, rinse, repeat campaign, Trump’s appeal to put America first in trade deals, restore law and order, enforce our borders and protect our national security demonstrates that he is going to fight for traditional blue collar, Democrat and Independent voters in the Great Lakes states and beyond against a corrupt opponent saddled with a globalist record that is despised by these voters.
“I will tell you”.
Lundry said “2012 saw the lowest level of split-ticket voting in 90 years”. The next day, she said, they’d be all in for Clinton.
As I said when I endorsed Bernie for president, I view Hillary as enormously qualified to be president of the political system we now have. Johnson and Weld could pick up some of the votes from Republican voters who do not want to vote for Trump. “They are not happy that he is selling out”, Trump tweeted even before the Portsmouth unity event began.
Knowing that he’ll also need at least some of the Hispanic vote to win, Trump argued that almost four in 10 African-American children are living in poverty and that 2 million more Latinos are in poverty, compared to when President Obama took his oath of office less than eight years ago.
“As long as we are led by politicians who will not put America First, then we can be assured that other nations will not treat America with respect”. It would also change the focus from Clinton’s trustworthiness to how Clinton and Sanders will rebuild America and reform our political system.
“Every day I wake up determined to deliver for the people I have met all across this nation that have been neglected, ignored, and abandoned”. Briggs said the talk will be an opportunity for them “to hear what he thinks he’s accomplished in the past year and where we go from here”. But they’re not going to be forgotten long. “I am your voice …” We will build the roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, and the railways of tomorrow.
But, spoiler alert: most are as horrified by Trump’s words as Bernie Sanders himself.
“Let’s defeat her in November”, Trump replied. Hillary Clinton is expected to officially become the nation’s first female presidential nominee.
Congressman (as she prefers to be called) Marsha Blackburn explained that it was time for a citizen-politician president because: “Hurt feelings are not qualifiers for leadership; leadership is a record of performance”.
Paladino said he expects lots of support from the state’s Southern Tier, where many people are disappointed with Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s ban on fracking. “He’s honest, sincere, and I really believe that in the depth of his heart, he wants to do what’s best for all of America and not just for the top one percent”, Astor said.

Trump paused, acknowledging the crowd’s chanting. Instead, he prefaced his announcement – “I’m proud to be gay, I’m proud to be a Republican but most of all, I’m proud to be an American” – by dismissing the recent transgender bathroom controversy as a “fake culture war”.
