Roadblock ends with a whimper

Sunday’s Roadblock: End of the Line show was co-main evented by the Women’s Championship match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte.

At Roadblock: End of the Line, Kevin Owens was able to successfully defend his title and remain the WWE Universal Champion.

– WWE has released a video of Sasha Banks arriving backstage for tonight’s Roadblock PPV event.

Match 4 – WWE Cruiserweight Championship, Brian Kendrick vs. T.J. Perkins vs. (c) Rich Swann: Swann retained his title by delivering his roundhouse kick to Perkins. After the match, it was revealed that this was Jericho’s plan all along to help Owens retain the title. With KO suffering a major fallout with his BFF, Chris Jericho, 46, many wondered if “The Kevin Owens Show” was about to be cancelled.

The New Day have been WWE Tag Team Champions since August 23, 2015. The tag team of Sheamus and Cesaro ended the record-breaking run of their arch-rivals The New Day and clinched the tag team championship.

Roadblock: End of the line will be headlined by the title match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens. Wrestling colleagues have pointed out, despite the historical nature of the feud between them there have been miscues in some of their previous matches, such as the Hell in the Cell one. I told you more puns were coming.

Rollins and Jericho had their own match earlier in the night, which was won by Rollins after Owens interfered causing a confused Jericho to stumble.

If they succeed in doing that, then Bayley and Sasha are expected to feud and have a match for the gold at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.

During an episode of WWE Raw last month, Roman Reigns defeated Kevin Owens and earned a title match for the WWE Universal Championship. Jericho and Seth Rollins are supporting cast members – they must continue their feud despite the fact it still falls to second place behind anything Owens signs his name to.

Plus, Sami Zayn recorded a win over powerhouse Braun Strowman by virtue of lasting 10 minutes, the Underdog from the Underground gaining a second wind when Raw General Manager Mick Foley appeared set to throw in the towel on his behalf. We still have no explanation as to why Triple H did what he did and Rollins has finally gotten around to asking for his match against “The King of Kings”. Honestly, some of the most iconic moments in WWE history have been made by how the crowd have reacted, whether it’s a glorious pop to the sound of glass crashing, or a chorus of horrendous boo’s after a disappointing Rumble, the crowd makes a match. Sasha and Charlotte put up a super-show with their grit and determination. But don’t rule out the unlikely European alliance of Cesaro and Sheamus, who are lately taking a lot of brownie points for their in-ring and outside of the ring antics!
