Roald Dahl at 100: How well do you know his books?
The platform has teamed with The Roald Dahl Literary Estate for an initiative created to engage and inspire kids across the globe to celebrate the anniversary of the much-loved children’s author. When you plunge into the world of Dahl’s imagination, you see the world through children’s eyes: full of witches, monsters, and horrifying, sometimes abusive adults-but brimming with magic and power, too.

Some of Roald Dahl’s most popular characters, including Willy Wonka, Fantastic Mr Fox, The Trunchbull, Matilda and even an Oompa Loompa or two, popped up around the county as part of the celebrations.
To mark the occasion, take our quiz and find out how much you know about Dahl’s magical creations.
In addition to the golden ticket visit, staff and pupils at the Cathedral School dressed up as their favourite Dahl characters and enjoyed a day of activities inspired by the school’s most famous alumnus.
The tour features an education and media group, Story Pirates, that will perform for and interact with students.
There are also weekend happenings, including a Roald Dahl birthday party on Saturday, Sept. 17, co-thrown by The Pie Hole and Coolhaus.
Norwegian, the low-priced carrier, will soon put your favourite author’s portrait on its aircraft’s tail fin, in honour of his 100th birth anniversary this year.
The announcement comes on the centenary of Dahl’s birth.
