Robert De Niro Compares His Taxi Driver Character Travis Bickle to Trump
At the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival, Robert De Niro says US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is just like the main character of the legendary 1976 movie Taxi Driver, the mentally disturbed Travis Bickle.

During Q&A session at the festival, De Niro was asked about Bickle’s mental illness and he developed a link to Trump, saying: “What he has been saying is totally insane, ridiculous, stuff that shouldn’t be even.he is totally nuts”.
A restored version of Martin Scorsese’s “Taxi Driver” was also screened at the festival.
Donald Trump has been having a rough time lately.
Robert Anthony De Niro is an American who has starred in over 100 films.
In the movie, which has been digitally restored for its 40th anniversary, Robert De Niro plays a lonely, depressed former US Marine living on his own in NY who becomes a taxi driver to cope with his chronic insomnia.
De Niro pointed to a similarity between the Tribeca Film Festival, which he co-founded, and that of Sarajevo, grown from a series of screenings organized by film enthusiasts in a basement during the 1992-95 Bosnian war.
Trump responded on Fox & Friends by saying that he enjoyed De Niro’s acting, but “when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we’re not dealing with Albert Einstein”.
If you happen to be in Sarajevo right now and looking to jump in a taxi.
Trump has blamed US news media of taking many his comments out of context.
