Robert Lewandowski awarded with four Guinness World Record certificates for

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski was recognized on Monday as the holder of four Guinness records for his five-goal binge in a single Bundesliga match.

The striker came on as a half substitute in a 5 – 1 thrashing of Wolfsburg and scored all five goals as his team was trailing 1 – 0 at half time.

Lewandowski was presented with four separate official Guinness World Records certificates for his goal scoring spree during a special press conference which took place at Bayern Munich’s ground.

Breaking records is nice and all, but it’s finding the wall space to hang them all up that’s the tricky part.

“It was an historic night for me”, said Lewandowski after being presented with four certificates. “Before that match I felt normal, I didn’t feel like I had more energy than other days or like scoring five goals”, Lewandowski said.

“At Bayern we have many more offensive players who can score goals, so I have no pressure to score a lot”. The Bayern Munich forward earning that honour after his incredible five-goal haul in a single Bundesliga game more than two months ago.

The first record he achieved was for the fastest Bundesliga hat-trick which broke the record by Michael Tonnies, who had scored three goals in six minutes in 1991 for MSV Duisburg against Karlsruher SC.
