The German was presented as Brendan Rodgers’ replacement on Friday with the club now 10th in England’s top flight.

“There is no doubt about it that a major challenge awaits”.

“We all know the best players of today”.

Liverpool have not enjoyed much success in recent years and have changed manager a number of times.

“Liverpool fans have been waiting for so many years that I can understand they are losing patience, but it doesn’t work like that. Progress is not possible without a bit of time”.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he has no intentions of signing his former players from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window, according to reports from the Daily Star.

“I had a long conversation with the owner (John Henry) and the aim is simply to play football with an identity”, he said.

“That doesn’t interest me at all“, he said. “That is in no way my approach”, he told Bild.

However, it appears the playmaker has made a swift recovery after he joined Daniel Sturridge, Alberto Moreno, Lucas Leiva, James Milner, Mamadou Sakho, Kolo Toure and Joao Carlos Teixeira in training today.

People talk about managers being tactical geniuses, but the reason Klopp was successful at Dortmund is he identified good players, bought well and got them playing for him. But never in English.

“He has won the hearts of Borussia Dortmund’s fans during his time there and now he does exactly the same at Liverpool”.

‘Adam Lallana is another player who for me doesn’t fit the profile.

I am humbled to have this chance.
