There has to be an element of team education and coaching for the second half of the season but there’s no reason why we can’t bridge the gap and win the kind of games we’ve been throwing away.
Spurs head to Merseyside sitting fourth in the Premier League and are now four points clear of Crystal Palace following their win over Watford, so Pochettino will be hoping to extend their advantage with another win this weekend.
“In the next nine or 10 games we will maybe make the mark on how we finish on the table”.
‘We are very quiet, ‘ Pochettino said. We are very confident and in football a lot can happen. For me it is important how we work as a team to try and defend our wall and our ‘keeper.
Central to Tottenham’s rise has been the form of midfielder Eric Dier and Pochettino believes he can star for England this year.

“We are very pleased because he has started to play in a position that was his real position”, Pochettino said. “You’ve got Kane up top, playing wide and just tucked in you’ve got Coutinho and [Christian] Eriksen”. “We are very young and you need to show your strengths in all the league”. The young Tottenham team have not only had the youngest starting XI over the course of the season, the trust Pochettino puts in the young players is repaid through the execution of his system. – Romelu Lukaku has scored 11 goals in his last 10 appearances for Everton (all competitions). They’ve got a strong mentality as a group and I don’t see them losing any sort of energy or focus over the next few months.

“I am always positive, not negative, and the most important thing is the balance of the team, the people and the changing room”, he is quoted as saying by the Independent. Our keeper is key as well. The likes of Toby Alderweireld, Kieran Trippier and Dele Alli all joined the first-team squad after successful campaigns in English football.
