I have always been more of a Marvel Comics fan than DC, but since the days of Lynda Carter spinning into a costume change, I have loved Wonder Woman as one of the best superheroes – male or female. She is largely responsible for training Diana, and it was her dying words that very well may have convinced her to leave Themyscira.

“Wonder Woman” is rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action and some suggestive content. Not only has the “Wonder Woman” movie rescued the superhero genre from its slump but Variety is reporting that the Amazon princess flick has also won the Internet. It is well overdue and it can not be underestimated how culturally important Wonder Woman is.
Given that Wonder Woman made box office history when it debuted in theaters, it’s only fitting that a sequel would be in the works. Hopefully we’re going to see more all-action females in our blockbusters – and directing them.
“She doesn’t want to bring any darkness to the world”, she said.
This would align itself nicely with Jenkins’ idea that Wonder Woman would have to go to the United States next.

The relationship between mother Hippolyta and daughter Diana will also be dealt with in the “Justice League” movie despite Diana leaving the island to save the world in the first “Wonder Woman” movie. A couple weaknesses of the film are the bad guys. This shouldn’t be such a surprise, given the recent success of movies like The Hunger Games and Rogue One, which have proved the appeal of stories led by female fighters. Besides the serious lack of screen time Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a Black Widow, is an overwhelmingly under-developed character that is more akin to a prop than a self-sufficient member of the team. This plot could take place at any point in time and do much to solidify why Diana Prince, the person, is so important beyond the colors she wears and the sword she bears. I believe the critics are blowing this up as a greater film than it is, but I will confess that it’s the best film of the summer so far.
