Rochester Hills Public Library celebrates opening of book sale facility

The Friends of the Kenton County Public Library is a volunteer organization that raises funds for the Library through membership and book sales.

The most recent summer sale raised more than $14,000, Thompson said. The Friends of the Canton Public Library will once again host their popular fall book sale on Friday, October 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m.

They have a wide variety of choices from adult fiction to romance to children’s books. The highest-quality books are put out during the sales, while others that have been used a bit more heavily are recycled. Children’s /teen books in the parking lot are priced from.25 – $1.00.

Titles include history, cookbooks, travel, business, science, biography, self-help and all types of fiction books including mysteries and classics.

NOTES: Members of the media are welcome to cover the setup of the event on Friday from 1-4 p.m. and Saturday prior to 9 a.m. There will be opportunities to interview members of the Friends and volunteers. The sale will be held at the Friends’ Evergreen Bookshop, 33 N. Walnut St.
