For this weekend only, online multiplayer will be free for Xbox One and 360 gamers everywhere even without a Gold membership, and to make things more awesome, “Rocket League” will also be free. This means that members will get the chance to play some choice titles in the playlist, such as “Battlefield Hardline”, “EA SPORTS UFC”, “Battlefield 4″, ” “FIFA 16” and “Dead Space”. You also don’t have to pay a subscription fee for using EA Access. So, an upcoming console would be a lot more powerful than current PS 4.
If you’re now on the fence with regards to Xbox Live Gold, this may be an opportunity to experience it for yourself.
Releasing later in 2016, off-world action game “Gears of War 4” (October), ambitious urban justice spectacle “Crackdown” (mid-year) and strategy spin-off “Halo Wars 2” (late 2016) would be glaring omissions if left out.
Rumors point to a slim version of the now boxy Xbox One coming this year, with a VR-compatible system due next year.
Microsoft’s Major Nelson noted that EA Access users would also be the first to try out Battlefield 1, Mass Effect: Andromeda, FIFA 17 and other titles by the publisher. Any progress earned in those games during the trial period will carry over to the full release.
A game developer who works for a well-known European game studio let slip to PC news site Ars Technica that his company was working on the consoles.
So if you’re interested in trying out a Xbox 360 classic but don’t already own a copy of the game, you can still enjoy it like everyone else.
